Aeco is a technology company with a focus on the tax and legal industry founded in 2020 by three brothers with a complementary skill-set.

The founders

• Thomas Aertgeerts: Lawyer with experience at tier 1 law firms and Big Four.
• Ruben Aertgeerts: Physicist specialised in transforming rule-based systems into mathematical models.
• Arnout Aertgeerts: Engineer with broad experience in the technology sector.

Mission

Aeco's mission is to transform the tax and legal industry by introducing state-of-the art technology and innovative business models. Aeco believes that tax and legal services can be performed differently to bring top-quality advice at an affordable price.

Milestones

• October 2019: Selected as promising start-up by Belgiums largest accelerator Start-it@KBC
• July 2020: VLAIO Grant awarded for a development project concerning pension optimisation
• November 2020: Aeco technology is now patent pending
• November 2021: Aeco raises € 700K in its seed round
